Transparent locations, claimed in alternating cycles by those on the inside and those on the outside. Thresholds of difference. Degrees of illumination. Display and discretion. A rocking, a pulse, an oscillation occurring daily across every window, amplified here by the presence of the screen. By day, a blocking and allowing of light from outside. At night, lit from within, shining out as sign or signal. The repetition of candles in windows and the history of vigil at times of collective distress. What does it mean to catch the light?
